New Stations
Compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations are very unique from those for liquid fuels. Because the fuel provided is a high-pressure gas, sizing, designing, operating and maintaining CNG fueling stations requires specialized knowledge and instruction. NGVi offers technical training on all aspects of sizing and designing CNG fueling stations, including planning, budgeting, equipment specifications, safety, codes and regulations, permitting construction and more.
Existing Stations
Once CNG fueling stations are operational, station owners are responsible for safety, efficiency and reliability of the facility. Maintenance technicians must be familiar with the equipment and its functions, as well as the specialized maintenance practices that will ensure optimum performance of the CNG station—and reduce risk of providing poor quality fuel that can damage engines. For those maintenance technicians, NGVi offers technical training for CNG fueling station operation and maintenance that includes an exam and certification.
