Recently, NGVi launched our new website.  As most of you who have ever gone through this exercise know, it always takes longer than you ever imagined, but you feel like a proud new parent when the new site finally “arrives.”  And with the introduction of our new website, NGVi is officially entering the blogosphere so “ta da” here it is– our very first blog.

I argued and wrestled with myself and our staff for a long time about blogging.  “Why do I have to blog?” I asked.  “Why can’t the staff blog?”  “Will people really read it?”  “Is there anything fresh we can say?”  “Won’t it take too much time?”  Finally, after this long wrestling match, I decided that yes, indeed, I personally have to blog–along with the other trusted members of our team–because it is a service to the industry and to our customers.  After spending more than 25 years in the natural gas vehicle industry, we have a wealth of information, knowledge and experience to share.  We’ve seen products come and go.  We’ve seen companies come and go.  We have a pretty accurate compass for what works and what doesn’t work.  And we are committed to telling it like it is.

So we are embracing blogging–along with social media and other non-traditional methods of communication–in hopes that we can help fleet managers and industry members avoid pitfalls and make wiser decisions.   Watch for our bloging to expand as we gain momentum.
