About NGVi

The Natural Gas Vehicle Institute provides natural gas vehicle education, training, consulting and technical assistance to NGV fleet managers and technicians, vehicle manufacturers, fuel retailers, utilities, NGV users, consultants, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, government and other industry stakeholders.

NGVI hosts a number of educational training classes and forums each year that are open to the public, including NGV safety training and several state-of-the-art classes on fueling station design, maintenance, and operation. NGVI also provides training in-house for client companies and organizations that desire to have a number of employees trained at your location. In-house training allows you to have your staff trained affordably and conveniently and also allows us to work with you to customize content to meet your specific needs. Leo and Annalloyd Thomason co-founded the NGV Institute in 1989. They and others on their training team are nationally recognized as experts in alternative vehicle fuels, with a strong emphasis on natural gas.
